Updated Friday 5 September

All Registration issues are dealt with by the Notts FA, we advise all teams to deal with Notts FA via your Club Secretary, with any Player Registration enquiries.

A player cannot play in a YEL League or Cup match without a valid 2008/09 Registration card, NO CARD = NO PLAY

We understand Notts County FC are using a number of players in trial matches this weekend, the YEL have no powers with regards this issue, Clubs should discuss any player issues with Mick Leonard of Notts County FC.

A player signed by Notts County FC can only play in the YEL with a signed letter from Notts County giving special permission and is subject to a limited number of games, if in doubt we recommend you do not use the player in the YEL.

If any team needs to cancel a fixture due to a shortage of players (due to missing cards or Notts County trialists) our advice is cancel the match and provide full reasons to the Match Controller. The YEL Committee will then discuss all cancellations at a later date and decide if any fines are liable due to cancellation taking the circumstances into consideration.

Reminder John McNicholas is Saturday Match Controller & Ian Goulding Sunday Match Controller.

ALL fixture issues including cancellations to the Match controller by email please not to the Admin Clerk.

Best of luck to all teams for the new season

Gedling Town v Aslockton Cranmers u9 - 04/12/05 | Print |
Sunday, 04 December 2005
Visiting ACFC fielded a 6 man side to match Gedling Town's under-strength team, although with two substitutes maintained an advantage on paper.

Nevertheless, despite playing attacking football from the start it took almost ten minutes for ACFC to get the breakthrough with a scorching shot from midfielder DEXTER, his first of three.

Gedling Town counter-attacked with skill and determination and within five minutes got the equaliser, putting ACFC onto the back foot.

Nevertheless, after sustained pressure, with winger HARDY blazing down the right wing, ACFC went ahead with a second from DEXTER and two from centre-forward WILSON to end the first half 4-1 up.

In the second half. ACFC made substitutions changing the shape of the game, pushing defender BLATHERWICK up the right wing where he soon found the goal and giving WILSON his third of the game, and with TONGE thrown forward ACFC always looked threatening.

However, the score line belies the exciting end-to-end football played by both teams with many chances at both ends and excellent defending from DAWES and saves from ACFC keeper MUSSERT and his substitute BEARDSLEY, normally in defence.

Gedling never gave up and were rewarded with a late consolation goal from a great lob beating the last defender and catching ACFC's keeper off his line.

The game was played in the best of humour and both teams went away pleased with their performance, ACFC unbeaten since 16th October and Gedling with a performance showing spirit and determination.
