THINK YOU'VE SEEN SOME POOR REFEREEING ?
DO YOU FEEL YOU COULD DO BETTER?
WELL GIVE IT A GO!
Nottinghamshire FA offers a number of training courses for referees. These include FUTSAL, Small-Sided, Mini Soccer, and a Laws of the Game qualification, as well as the full referee qualification for 11-a-side football.
The full course consists of 20 hours learning – the mini-soccer course and Laws of the Game qualification is a 3 hour workshop, whilst the FUTSAL and small-sided courses are 10 hours.
For more information on all of these please contact David Coote at Nottinghamshire FA directly or attend one of our ‘Welcome to Refereeing’ evenings, with all courses starting shortly afterwards.
If you decide the full 11-a-side qualification is for you, you will find it consists of two sections; the pre-course study and the main course. You will learn the Laws of the Game pre-course and learn how to apply these Laws into a game of football with both classroom and on-field experience. To fully qualify as a referee you are examined and have to referee six 11-a-side games.
