The YEL Divisional Committee will meet early July to formulate the Divisions for the 2008/2009 season.

All teams have until 30 June 2008 to submit by email (to Kev Cooper) any requests for special consideration for promotion & relegation.

The Divisional Committee will compile the Divisions based on the number of entries received, all Champions & Runners up will be automatically promoted, all other decisions including relegation are decided by the Divisional Committee. At some age groups we have lots of new teams and there may be more Divisions than last season in some age groups, which results in lots of teams changing Divisions.

The Invoices for League fees have been sent out and need to be paid by 30 June, the Divisions will not be set until all Clubs have paid the League Fees.

Further information on the format of the u8s sections for the 2008/2009 season will be announced soon.

Saturday 10th March 2007 Hucknall Sports U9s Whites 1 v West Bridgford Eagles 0

The last game of the season for Sports was a must win game if Sports were to be crowned League Champions. It got off to a good start but despite Sports constant shots at goal they just could not find the back of the net mainly due to great goalkeeping from the Eagles Keeper.

Going into the second half 0-0 it looked as though the title was slipping away from the very tense Sports boys until a last minute battering of the Eagles goal saw the ball fall for Captain Ellis to slot it into the net. Ellis disappeared under eight ecstatic bodies and it took some time to get the match restarted to play the last minute. WELL DONE SPORTS!! The parents and Management cannot put into words how very proud they are of all the boys not only securing promotion with two games left and not having conceded a game but to win the league as well in their first season together is fantastic. Also a big WELL DONE and thank you to the Management who have stuck with the boys and got their reward
