Updated Wednesday 24 June

The YEL Divisional Committee will meet early July to formulate the Divisions for the 2008/2009 season.

All teams have until 30 June 2008 to submit by email (to Kev Cooper) any requests for special consideration for promotion & relegation.

The Divisional Committee will compile the Divisions based on the number of entries received, all Champions & Runners up will be automatically promoted, all other decisions including relegation are decided by the Divisional Committee. At some age groups we have lots of new teams and there may be more Divisions than last season in some age groups, which results in lots of teams changing Divisions.

The Invoices for League fees have been sent out and need to be paid by 30 June, the Divisions will not be set until all Clubs have paid the League Fees.

Further information on the format of the u8s sections for the 2008/2009 season will be announced soon.

Sunday 21st January East Leake Bantams U8 1 v Kimberley Miner Welfare U8 Black 3

Kimberley Miners Welfare U8 Black continued with there second win in succession with an impressive performance against a good East Leake Bantams side on a sunny but cold Sunday morning. Two first half goals from Barlow, the first after excellent work in midfield from Wren supplying a pass to Hindle, who provided the cross to Barlow

who hit a controlled shot into the left hand corner to make it 1-0 after a close first 10minutes of football,Barlow tapped in just before half time to make it 2-0 to the visitors. Kimberley made two subs at half time bringing on Palethorpe and Rossier, the second half started well for the home team with a well worked goal bringing the score to 2-1, Kimberley pushed on with good work on the right from Rossier, with Palethorpe sealing the win with an excellent goal into the bottom right corner from just inside the area to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Overall the game was a good win for Kimberley but credit to the home team as the game played and watched in a good fair spirit

Ian Palethorpe
