Saturday 16th December 2006 Hucknall Sports U9s Black 0 Hucknall Sports U9s White 1 The last match before the Christmas break was the long awaited local derby between the Blacks and Whites. The first half was pretty much end to end with both keepers busy keeping the score at 0-0. The Whites started the second half the more attacking of the two teams,
with most of the play kept in the Blacks half. Towers producing yet another top class goal saw the Whites go into the lead, but he was then denied a second goal by a fantastic save from the Blacks keeper Jayes, who lived up to his nickname of 'Tigger', and pushed the ball over the crossbar. For the last ten minutes Whites hung on to their lead as the Blacks came on the attack but the score ended 0-1. Well done to both teams, this was a good performance from both sides. Keep up the good work. Tracey Kibble (Hucknall Sports U9s Whites) |
