Saturday 9th December Hucknall Sports U9s White 3 v Clifton AW White 1

The meeting of the top two teams in Division 2, and neither having yet conceded a game meant this was going to be a great match, and it certainly was. The game started fast and hard and remained that way throughout. Plenty of freekicks, corners and shots at goal from both sides being saved or going wide looked as though the first half would end goalless,

until ten minutes before half time, the unstoppable goal machine that is Towers started with a goal from a fantastic run up the left side by Asher, a pass to Towers - number one. Five minutes later another great goal from Towers - number two. The second half began just as fast as the first but Towers was on a roll - Hattrick! Clifton came back with a goal from McNicholas but the game ended 3-1 to Sports. This was a superb game to watch with both teams playing great football. Sports were fantastic today, every single boy gave 110%, solid defending, great tackling and attacking and Man of the Match was a very difficult decision to make but was shared by Towers, Asher, Ellis and Watts. The boys should be very proud of themselves because the Management and Parents definitely are. Well done and keep it up boys!
