Updated Wednesday 24 June

The YEL Divisional Committee will meet early July to formulate the Divisions for the 2008/2009 season.

All teams have until 30 June 2008 to submit by email (to Kev Cooper) any requests for special consideration for promotion & relegation.

The Divisional Committee will compile the Divisions based on the number of entries received, all Champions & Runners up will be automatically promoted, all other decisions including relegation are decided by the Divisional Committee. At some age groups we have lots of new teams and there may be more Divisions than last season in some age groups, which results in lots of teams changing Divisions.

The Invoices for League fees have been sent out and need to be paid by 30 June, the Divisions will not be set until all Clubs have paid the League Fees.

Further information on the format of the u8s sections for the 2008/2009 season will be announced soon.

West Bridgford Eagles 1 v Hucknall Sports U9s 5 | Print |
Monday, 06 November 2006

Sports got off to a good start away to West Bridgford Eagles, with Rose opening the scoring two minutes after kickoff when the keeper saved a shot at goal, only to see the ball roll out of his grasp and end up in the back of the net.

Rose was also involved in the second goal when a pass from him to Watts saw Watts scoring the first of his hattrick. Both keepers were kept busy making some great saves but minutes before half time Watts scored again and Sports went into half time 3-0 up. The second half started with both teams playing end to end but Sports were the first to score with a great goal from Watts who caught the ball on his chest turned and put it in the net. Watts was then substituted for Kibble, McShane for Goodacre and Towers for Trueman. Sports seemed to slacken off a bit, and Eagles came back with a belter of a goal from Barrett from the edge of the box into the top left hand corner. This seemed to wake up Sports, and not to be outdone, they replied with a great goal from Trueman from just inside the halfway line. Man of the match went to Clarke

Tracey Kibble (Hucknall Sports U9s Whites)
