Updated Friday 5 September

All Registration issues are dealt with by the Notts FA, we advise all teams to deal with Notts FA via your Club Secretary, with any Player Registration enquiries.

A player cannot play in a YEL League or Cup match without a valid 2008/09 Registration card, NO CARD = NO PLAY

We understand Notts County FC are using a number of players in trial matches this weekend, the YEL have no powers with regards this issue, Clubs should discuss any player issues with Mick Leonard of Notts County FC.

A player signed by Notts County FC can only play in the YEL with a signed letter from Notts County giving special permission and is subject to a limited number of games, if in doubt we recommend you do not use the player in the YEL.

If any team needs to cancel a fixture due to a shortage of players (due to missing cards or Notts County trialists) our advice is cancel the match and provide full reasons to the Match Controller. The YEL Committee will then discuss all cancellations at a later date and decide if any fines are liable due to cancellation taking the circumstances into consideration.

Reminder John McNicholas is Saturday Match Controller & Ian Goulding Sunday Match Controller.

ALL fixture issues including cancellations to the Match controller by email please not to the Admin Clerk.

Best of luck to all teams for the new season

Both teams have been chosen for fantastic performances against the league leaders.

Both teams have been chosen for fantastic performances against the league leaders.

Kimberley MW Black u8s thought they had blown their chance of a top two finish when they were held to a draw by mid table Trowell in their second to last match of the season.

For their final match they had to beat the runaway Champions Pegasus Youth Cavaliers, who had won all 13 games conceding just 3 goals, to stand any chance of claiming the runners up position. They won the game 1-0 and  the other contenders Hucknall Harriers lost final match so both teams finish joint second.

Cotgrave Colts u11s have had a good season having switched from Sundays to Saturdays and are challenging for a top 4 finish.

The award is given for a superb performance against Wollaton Hall yellow, the u10 Double winners last season and with a 100% record so far this season. Cotgrave camne from behind twice in a very exciting end to end match which ended 2-2 to end the Wollaton 100% record.

YEL Team of the Month March 2007

Sponsored byUK Football Trophies - Kev 0115 9899901

Mini Soccer Winner - Clifton AW u8s Sat

Clifton AW White sit mid table in the u8 Blue Division when early in March they played Long eaton United, a team with 14 wins out of 14 and incredibly yet to concede a goal.

To be fair Clifton had only lost 0-1 in the early season encounter so it was proven to be no fluke when they secured a 0-0 scoreline to end the Long eaton 100% record

11 a side Winner - Netherfield Colts u14 Sun

Netherfield Colts also win the award by playing Long Eaton. When the Cup Draw was made everyone wanted to avoid Long Eaton utd, current champions and league leaders at u14s. Netherfield down in mid table were not daunted by the challenge and were the only team to have beaten Long Eaton in the league. Netherfield proved lightening can strike twice with a superb Cup semi final win to take a place in next months Final.
