Updated Friday 5 September

All Registration issues are dealt with by the Notts FA, we advise all teams to deal with Notts FA via your Club Secretary, with any Player Registration enquiries.

A player cannot play in a YEL League or Cup match without a valid 2008/09 Registration card, NO CARD = NO PLAY

We understand Notts County FC are using a number of players in trial matches this weekend, the YEL have no powers with regards this issue, Clubs should discuss any player issues with Mick Leonard of Notts County FC.

A player signed by Notts County FC can only play in the YEL with a signed letter from Notts County giving special permission and is subject to a limited number of games, if in doubt we recommend you do not use the player in the YEL.

If any team needs to cancel a fixture due to a shortage of players (due to missing cards or Notts County trialists) our advice is cancel the match and provide full reasons to the Match Controller. The YEL Committee will then discuss all cancellations at a later date and decide if any fines are liable due to cancellation taking the circumstances into consideration.

Reminder John McNicholas is Saturday Match Controller & Ian Goulding Sunday Match Controller.

ALL fixture issues including cancellations to the Match controller by email please not to the Admin Clerk.

Best of luck to all teams for the new season

West  Hallam Blue In Brilliant Comeback Victory - 8 October 2006

This was a Sunday under-13 match that had a feast of attacking football from both sides. West Hallam started brightly and took the lead after 10 minutes through INWOOD. Bantams counter-attacked strongly and equalised with a close-range shot and went on to secure a 3-1 half-time lead courtesy of a great finish from a tight angle and a tap-in from a corner.

Bantams scored a fourth soon after the interval with a lofted shot into the top corner.

The West Hallam fightback started with an own goal which acted as a catalyst for all-out attack. GOUGH fired in a great shot from the edge of the box, PLACE drove in a fierce shot for the equaliser and INWOOD scored his second with a superb lob.

In a grandstand finish, Bantams thought that they had earned a draw with a last-minute equaliser but it was ruled out for offside.

This was a great advertisment for the game - non-stop attacking football in a match played in a fine spirit.

Paul Bobeszko (West Hallam Blue Coach)
