The YEL Divisional Committee will meet early July to formulate the Divisions for the 2008/2009 season.

All teams have until 30 June 2008 to submit by email (to Kev Cooper) any requests for special consideration for promotion & relegation.

The Divisional Committee will compile the Divisions based on the number of entries received, all Champions & Runners up will be automatically promoted, all other decisions including relegation are decided by the Divisional Committee. At some age groups we have lots of new teams and there may be more Divisions than last season in some age groups, which results in lots of teams changing Divisions.

The Invoices for League fees have been sent out and need to be paid by 30 June, the Divisions will not be set until all Clubs have paid the League Fees.

Further information on the format of the u8s sections for the 2008/2009 season will be announced soon.

Long Eaton Blue U8 v Rolls Royce Leisure U8

This game started off with some end to end play as both teams were finding their feet with solid midfield play from WILL.As it progressed though Long Eaton started to dominate midfield giving them lots of possesion, but RR were hard to break down at the back.Eventually WILL found space to crack the ball in the net. 1-0 at half time.

Second half RR found it hard to get out of defence, and when they got out of their half, never managed to get past STEPHEN or SAM in the back line, with LEWIS hardly getting a touch in goal. JACKO was now finding his feet with several runs down the left flank.LIAM and BEN finding space and opportunities to score.Introduction of BRADLEY made more happen.Their goalie making one spectacular save from BRADLEY's shot.As more Long Eaton pressing took place,a cross from JACKO allowed BRADLEY to find room to smash home another goal.A very tough game with lots of credit to RR Leisure, Final Score 2-0 to Long Eaton.
