Updated Wednesday 24 June

The YEL Divisional Committee will meet early July to formulate the Divisions for the 2008/2009 season.

All teams have until 30 June 2008 to submit by email (to Kev Cooper) any requests for special consideration for promotion & relegation.

The Divisional Committee will compile the Divisions based on the number of entries received, all Champions & Runners up will be automatically promoted, all other decisions including relegation are decided by the Divisional Committee. At some age groups we have lots of new teams and there may be more Divisions than last season in some age groups, which results in lots of teams changing Divisions.

The Invoices for League fees have been sent out and need to be paid by 30 June, the Divisions will not be set until all Clubs have paid the League Fees.

Further information on the format of the u8s sections for the 2008/2009 season will be announced soon.

Toton Tigers U10's v Carlton Town Yellow U10's - Sat 23.09.06 | Print |

Tigers make a roaring start!

Toton Tigers under 10's kicked off their first home game of the season in style with a 6-1 win against Carlton Town Yellow. After thirteen minutes GOULD picked the ball up on the left & ran towards goal. He cut inside & unleashed a powerful shot which hit the top corner of the net to make it 1-0. That first goal seemed to settle Tigers down & quickly led to GOULD scoring a second after good work from Hollingsworth. The third goal was a blistering shot from SHELTON from the edge of the box. Tigers then won a throw-in near the Carlton penalty are which was quickly taken by Maud. Shelton then headed it on to GOULD who completed his hat-rick with a diving header. Half-time score: 4-0.

The second half saw Carlton apply pressure on the Tigers goal forcing Beresford into four outstanding saves. However, he did well to get his hands to a blistering shot which pulled a goal back for Carlton to make it 4-1. Tigers rang the changes & it was SHELTON who was on the scoresheet again after a mazy run past two defenders & the goalkeeper before calmly placing his shot into the back of the net to make it 5-1. SHELTON also completed his hat-rick with a blistering drive from the edge of the area giving the Carlton goalkeeper no chance. Final score: Toton Tigers 6 Carlton Town Yellow 1. Tigers man of the match was Beresford.
